If we could only…

“Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.”

Martin Luther King, Jr

Wise words from the leader of the African – American Civil Rights Movement.

It is like sadness and sorrow are the only things that we see these days. The television is full of hatred, wickedness and pain… will we human beings ever learn? We are destroying each other and we are destroying what was “at the creation”  beautifully made. We hear all the time love one another do not hate, but love is an action!  Do something instead of only saying it. In Romans 12:9-21 it is very clearly explained. Let us all be one and love in action. We can learn from the way Dr. King Jr. fought without violence. You are allowed to be angry but do NOT sin. Is this too hard for us to do?  Sometimes I hear people around me saying “I do not want to bring a child into this sinful world” I do not blame them but on the other hand are we going to be led by fear or by faith? Fear is not from God. We as Christians know that this world will not last forever and that he will make all things new. There is GOOD news – the gospel of Jesus Christ, our savior, our deliverer. He said “…take heart! I have overcome the world. John 16:33  I believe we will too!

So….. be encouraged, be love, be the change, be the hope, be the light, be the salt, be courageous and know you are VICTORIOUS in Christ! “….If God is for us who can be against us?  Romans 8:31

Do not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for God’s wrath, for it is written: “It is mine to avenge; I will repay,” says the Lord.  On the contrary:

“If your enemy is hungry, feed him;
if he is thirsty, give him something to drink.
In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head.”

Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
