The Daniel Fast Part 2: Be Still

‘Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.’Psalm 139:23-24

Going through my 10th day of fasting I noticed that I ask a lot from God and he is just silence. Question upon question to show me thinks while he is just not answering at all.

Then I remember the verse “be still and know I am God”… But Jesus how? I want to hear something or am I not seeing it? The answer is simple God’s silences is for our good.

The Daniel Fast Part 1

It’s  the fourth day of my Daniel fast.  For the people who don’t  know what the Daniel fast is  you can find a detailed explanation on the website of allaboutprayer.org.  This a short version of the way I explain it; The Daniel fast is based on the verses 2 and 3 of chapter 10 in the book of DanielDaniel was a determined man with clear ideals and to achieve this he did not hide his feelings for anyone and was not out to please man. On the contrary , he took a personal initiative to begin a fast that kept him focused on what was truly God’s will.

The Seven Colors To One Promise

I am sitting behind my desk and I am looking outside. It is rainy, muggy, yet another Summer day. I thought the dark clouds was so July, but no it had to continue through August. I know August just started but it felt so depressing to go to work like that or even think about my BBQ less weekends, do not get me wrong, there were some good days, but you know what I mean. The times flies and all of the sudden I see the sun shining and guess what, a rainbow! Hallelujah. It made me immediately think about the story of Noah and God’s promise. I have set my rainbow in the clouds, and it will be the sign of the covenant between me and the earth. Genesis 9:13
