What a wonderful day. I started my morning with French toast. It is not often that I eat French toast, I made it with a day old bread it could’ve been older, but I wanted to eat it today and it tasted great!
“In their hearts humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps.”Proverbs 16:9 NIV
It has been a few amazing days. God is good, that is all I can say.
Saturday October 15th was the day of the “A21 campaign”. In my previous blog I wrote about the Walk For Freedom campaign and what it means to the people who have been trafficked.
I can tell you now, we have made an impact around the world through television, social media, newspapers and our local community and most of all to the people who are trapped and the ones who are saved from this darkness.
It is like that song “come fly with me, let’s fly, let’s fly away” …
Looking outside and watching the clouds it’s constantly amaze me how the Lord has created the world in a wonderful way. Truly everything has been beautifully made and all of this by his Word. His words that are powerful, the same words he puts in our mouth to empower others. Yet there are times our flesh takes over and we misuse the power that the Lord has given us.
‘Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.’Psalm 139:23-24
Going through my 10th day of fasting I noticed that I ask a lot from God and he is just silence. Question upon question to show me thinks while he is just not answering at all.
Then I remember the verse “be still and know I am God”… But Jesus how? I want to hear something or am I not seeing it? The answer is simple God’s silences is for our good.
I am sitting behind my desk and I am looking outside. It is rainy, muggy, yet another Summer day. I thought the dark clouds was so July, but no it had to continue through August. I know August just started but it felt so depressing to go to work like that or even think about my BBQ less weekends, do not get me wrong, there were some good days, but you know what I mean. The times flies and all of the sudden I see the sun shining and guess what, a rainbow! Hallelujah. It made me immediately think about the story of Noah and God’s promise. I have set my rainbow in the clouds, and it will be the sign of the covenant between me and the earth. Genesis 9:13
